Staff Accountant

As our Staff Accountant, you will handle a broad range of responsibilities and day-to-day finance, accounting and operation responsibilities. What You'll Do

  • Manage and reconciliation of our financial records and provide insight on company budgets
  • Work with company CPA to prepare company taxes
  • Work closely with department heads to set quarterly and annual department budgets
  • Maintain strict confidentiality of financial records
  • Perform full cycle A/R, including invoicing and clients’ payment processing
  • Review A/R aging reports to monitor delinquent accounts and determine the best course of action moving forward
  • Assist medical billing team in A/R functions
  • Maintain files and documentations thoroughly and accurately, in accordance with the company policy and accepted accounting practices (AP/AR)
  • Analyze A/P for company and control of petty cash
  • Responsible for credit card payments and account maintenance
  • Collaborate with Human Resources for processing payroll and year end reporting for employees
  • Prepare profit and loss statements and monthly closing and cost accountant reports
  • Investigate and resolve customer queries
  • Identify and resolve operational and financial issues involving accounting policies, procedures and systems
  • Record journal entries to account for business activities, ensuring completeness, accuracy and compliance with general accepted account principles.
  • Process high volume cash transactions, loan level activities and closing statements.
  • Process purchasing requests from inventory manager
  • Any Ad Hoc requests from the Chief Business Officer

What You'll Need

  • Bachelor’s degree in Accounting or related major from an accredited four year university
  • 1-3 years of experience with Finance, Accounting, AR/AP, or related field
  • Solid computer skills, including MS Office and finance software (Quickbooks & CRm)
  • Excellent accountant skills
  • Superior attention to detail
  • A get it done attitude. You know how to prioritize, you are self-sufficient and you make things happen.
  • Strong organizational and interpersonal skills
  • Detailed oriented with excelled ability to analyze data and circumstances
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills
  • Ability to work well under pressure in a busy environment with little to no supervision
